'Geodynamic evolution of the Zagros'

Olivier Lacombe edited together with Bernhard Grasemann (Vienna University, Austria)
and Guy Simpson (Geneva University, Switzerland),
a special issue on the
'Geodynamic evolution of the Zagros' for the Geological Magazine.

This special issue of Geological Magazine presents a collection of 17 papers
dealing with different aspects of the Zagros orogen,
reflecting some of the diverse research currently being carried out in this area.
These studies contribute to the understanding of the geodynamic evolution of the Zagros Mountains in particular,
but in addition to orogenic processes in general.

'Tectonic evolution and mechanics of basement-involved
fold-and-thrust belts
'

Olivier Lacombe edited together with Jonas Ruh (CSIC, Barcelona, Spain)
Dennis Brown (CSIC, Barcelona, Spain) and Faramarz Nilfouroushan (Gâvle University, Sweden),
a special issue on the
'Tectonic evolution and mechanics of basement-involved fold-and-thrust belts' for the Geological Magazine.

This special issue of Geological Magazine presents a collection of 18 papers
dealing with different aspects of basement-involved fold-and-thrust belts,
reflecting some of the diverse research currently being carried out in this area.
These studies contribute to the understanding of not only fold-and-thrust belts in particular,
but also of orogenic processes and of the rheology of
the continental lithosphere in general.
